About Talia

Talia Thomas is a dedicated medical student at the Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine at Texas Christian University, with an expected graduation date of May 2026. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Pepperdine University in May 2020. During her medical education, Talia has been recognized for her outstanding work and commitment to empathetic scholarship, receiving multiple grants and scholarships from the TCU School of Medicine. Her research focuses on important topics such as Staphylococcus aureus skin infections in athletes, physician satisfaction with artificial intelligence in healthcare, and dermatologic conditions in underserved populations. Her research has been presented at various symposiums and is published in leading medical journals.

In addition to her academic and research endeavors, Talia has demonstrated strong leadership and service through her involvement in multiple student interest groups, where she has held key roles, including President and Vice President of the Dermatology Student Interest Group and President of the Music and Performing Arts Student Interest Group. She has also coauthored a children's book promoting the importance of sunscreen, with proceeds benefiting Camp Discovery, a camp for children with rare skin conditions. Outside of medicine, Talia is the CEO of both a performing and event singing business and a mineral-based sunscreen brand, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and passion for combining her interests in medicine, music, and business.
